"With Hellings we have a partner who thinks along with us down to the smallest detail. Reliable, service-oriented, and together we keep building ever-smarter production lines." – Ahmed Sözsav
A growing family business with strong ambitions needs a partner that thinks proactively, anticipates future needs and delivers on its promises. HAS Food, a producer of high-quality halal meat and kebab products, is in the midst of a phase of optimisation and automation. To increase its production capacity and continue to operate in a future-oriented manner, the company in Olen is investing heavily in its infrastructure and processes. Hellings was brought in as a partner for this expansion. In this customer case study, you will discover how the partnership came about, the challenges we tackled together, and how we helped HAS Food take its next step towards growth.
HAS Food is a producer of high-quality halal kebab and meat products. The family business, founded in Olen, is run by the second generation. Their products, prepared according to unique recipes and with constant attention to hygiene, meet all HACCP standards. Production takes place in their own factory. HAS FOOD stands out for its focus on quality and the implementation of the latest production technologies. They are currently working on optimising and automating the business to be able to produce more products
As a producer of high-quality halal meat and kebab products, HAS Food faced a complex challenge: integrating a forming machine with its freezing line, including the infeed and outfeed systems. All this had to be achieved in their production environment in Olen with the limited space available. Without an efficient solution, HAS Food would have difficulty scaling up production.
We were not strangers to HAS Food. We had previously completed a project together, which meant we were already familiar with their factory in Olen, understood its layout, and knew where space was limited. That made it easier to quickly ask the right questions. Together with director Ahmed Sözvas, we looked at the bottlenecks and determined the best approach. Our engineers came up with a compact transport system that makes smart use of the space. The design is hygienic, complies with all food safety requirements, and significantly reduces the need for manual handling. Throughout the entire process, we maintained close communication with the HAS Food team, so that the solution was not only technically sound, but also truly suited their way of working.
The result is a fully bespoke conveyor system that uses an innovative retractable nose bar (pull nose) to create a seamless connection between the forming machine and the freezing line. Thanks to this system, transport runs smoothly, with a high processing capacity and an even load that is ideal for the next steps, such as moving products to or from the freezer. The solution thus perfectly meets HAS Food’s commitment to maximum hygiene and optimal functionality, exactly what is needed in their HACCP-certified production process.
As a manufacturer, are you also looking for an automation solution that will take your production line to the next level? Or would you like to know more about the pull-nose system? We are happy to work with you to explore the possibilities, no matter how complex the challenge.
