From 3 to 7 November, Safety Week is on the agenda at Hellings. During this week, we will pay extra attention to working safely – a topic that is central to our organisation every day. Our common goal remains the same: that everyone goes home safe and healthy at the end of the working day.
During the week, various themes relating to safety will be central. From physical safety in the workplace to social safety and digital resilience. With stories, practical tips and short updates via the app and the screens in the canteen, we will inform colleagues about the importance of working safely.
Monday 3 November: Kick-off & First Aid and Emergency Response Day
The week starts with a special meeting. Guest speaker Marion van Lieshout shares her personal story about an industrial accident and its impact. We will also put the spotlight on our emergency response officers: the colleagues who are there when it matters.
Tuesday 4 November: Social safety
A safe working environment goes beyond physical safety. On this day, colleagues will meet our confidential counsellors and we will tell you more about their role and when you can contact them.
Wednesday 5 November: Working safely with internal transport
In the workplace, we work with various means of transport and machines on a daily basis. On this day, we will share practical tips and examples from practice on working safely with, among other things, forklifts, pallet stackers and aerial work platforms.
Thursday 6 November: Cybersecurity
We also work securely in the digital world. That’s why this day is all about cybersecurity. We will focus on digital habits, such as recognising phishing emails, using strong passwords and handling data securely.
Friday 7 November: Review & conclusion
We conclude the week with a brief review of the most important insights and moments. Because safety is not a one-week project, but something we continue to work on together every day.
