Looking back on Roel's internship

This week, we’re saying goodbye to intern Roel Janssen, who has successfully completed his internship at Hellings and developed an impressive product. Roel, thank you very much for your commitment and dedication, and good luck with the rest of your studies!

During his internship, Roel worked on two applications in the collaborative robotics industry: depalletising crates and palletising trays of beer cans. He developed and tested 3D designs and prototypes, paying attention to safety, material selection and practical applicability. For depalletising, he made a gripper that also enables palletising, a result he is proud of.

Roel looks back fondly on his internship, especially on building and testing prototypes himself and on the company visits, including a visit to Yaskawa at the BIC in Eindhoven. The biggest challenge? Working with a cobot where safety and practical applicability were crucial.
